Welcome to the seventh edition of our Newsletters leading up to the 2024 Blokart World Championships. This edition is short but contains some important info for competitors.

Worlds Apparel

A range of apparel is now available in the online store.  Please go here to look at specs, prices and to place your order.  https://blokartworlds.com/shop/ Orders will only be open until 1st March so get your orders in quickly. Prices include delivery to the event. If you are unable to attend and want them shipped, let us know and we can look into the costs for your location.

As mentioned in the previous Newsletter, 10’ x 10’ tents with walls will be available to rent and are now in the online store https://blokartworlds.com/shop/ These are great for storing gear overnight and having a base during the day, esp if there are a few of you traveling together. Cost of the Tents will be $750 USD and will include delivery to the site, Permits, set-up and pack-down after the event. It is possible to order multiple tents side by side and drop the wall between for a larger space. Note: There will not be official onsite security overnight so any gear is left at your own risk. (Sample image only.  Not the exact tent)

Meal Tickets

We have two official banquets during the event.  Meals will be buffet style, and include desert and some non alcoholic beverages.  A cash bar will be available. 1. NABSA Awards / Worlds welcome dinner on Monday 8th April  – $48 Per Person 2. The Worlds Prize giving on Friday 12 April – $58 Per Person These meal tickets are purchased separately from the entry fees and are available in the store now. https://blokartworlds.com/shop/ Meal Tickets will be available online until mid March. Please ensure you get the tickets for yourself and for any guest planning on attending with you.

Non racing guests

There will no doubt be a number of non-racing guests in attendance and they are very welcome to be there. For safety reasons we will have a sign-in sheet at the main marque for all guests.  Any guests planning on sailing a Blokart for fun (non-racing) must also sign the waiver on site before sailing. There will be a donation box onsite for those non-racing guests planning on visiting a number of days to contribute to the venue infrastructure costs.

Happy Hours

After each race day we plan to have a Happy Hour on the Playa.  If any international group is interested in hosting one of these please let us know. Hosting a Happy Hour entails supplying some drinks and snacks.  Drinks are on a user pay basis. If you are interested, please contact NABSA President David Midgley /" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=http://dave@ingeniven.com&source=gmail&ust=1706833207224000&usg=AOvVaw3ZYiReGeGlt9_q4sRoH7aw">.

We are hoping to get some drone footage from the event. Given the weather dependency of the sailing it is not ideal to book in someone external.  Although use of drone on the site will be limited in time overall, if someone is planning on traveling with a drone please let Matt know and we will see if we can work out a situation to share footage. /" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=http://matt@blokart.com&source=gmail&ust=1706833207224000&usg=AOvVaw2PEtryWFf-L_kmwmO0uT2Z">
