Hi Everyone, Things are moving along nicely here in the lead up to the worlds.  We will post an update each month now with any information relevant to competitors, please feel free to contact us with the form on the homepage with any questions not covered here. Entries Entries are ticking along nicely now.  The up to date list of entries can now be seen online here There are only a few international entries on the list so far but in conversation we know there are a number planning on being here from USA, Europe and EU. Border information We are aware of some confusion in regards to the border status in NZ as some overseas news sources are still at times reporting strict border closures and travel restrictions in NZ.  This is not the case. For official border status please refer to https://covid19.govt.nz/international-travel/travel-to-new-zealand/when-new-zealand-borders-open/ Latest update — 11 May 2022
  • New Zealand’s border is reopening to all tourists and visa holders from 11:59pm 31 July 2022.
  • Vaccinated travellers arriving under the Accredited Employer Work Visa category can apply to enter New Zealand from 4 July 2022.
  • All other visa categories — including those on visitor and student visas can apply to enter New Zealand from anywhere in the world from 31 July 2022.
  • Cruise ships can enter New Zealand from 31 July 2022, with the opening of the maritime border.
Travellers will still need to meet all health requirements to enter New Zealand, including vaccination requirements and providing proof of a negative pre-departure test. Pre-departure tests are still required until 31 July 2022. The Government may remove pre-departure testing requirements by 31 July 2022. Onsite Camping A popular option for competitors with motorhomes is onsite camping.  There is plenty of space at the Sanson blokart track for people to camp.  It is ideal to be self contained but not necessary as we will have access to the adjacent hall with toilets on site and cold showers… The Sanson track is a 5 minute drive from the Ohakea track so an easy commute after racing there. Chassis Hire We have plenty of Chassis available for international competitors for those needing to travel light.  The Chassis are provided through local clubs,  are all in excellent condition and supplied on the following terms. The karts will be rolling chassiss only, no sails, no masts. They will be production trim only, no performance downhauls, pods foot plates etc. Competitors are permitted to upgrade the rental kart to performance using their own equipment, but must return the karts in production trim as supplied. Items like the mainsheet pulley and foot straps are not to be removed when upgrading the kart to performance Wheel bearings must also be returned as supplied (ie: fully sealed and greased), we suggest if you want to used cleaned out bearings, or the blokart bearing shields that you bring your own. Karts will be available for collection on the registration day of the Pre-worlds event or the registration day of the World championships . Cost to rent a rolling chassis will be NZ$500 The cost of any repairs required as a result of the hire shall be covered by the competitor Matt Becket
